  • UNDERSTAND, STRENGTHEN, AND ADAPT YOUR STYLE

    Strengthen your leadership ability through a variety of exercises, resulting in personal reflection, learning, and action planning. Improve your understanding of contextual demands and how different leadership styles and behaviors best meet those demands. Draw out personal learning based on tangible opportunities to practice the art of leadership.

Leadership Fundamentals

  • Critical distinctions between leading and managing
  • Qualities and characteristics that make people effective leaders in different situations
  • Identify your preferred leadership style and strengths
  • Identify skills or behaviors you can develop to effectively practice a range of leadership styles

 

Improving Your Performance of Essential Leadership Activities

  • Motivating people to engage and excel in their work roles
  • Providing feedback that gets heard and acted upon
  • Evaluating and rewarding people in ways that are fair and effective
  • Creating a culture of candor so people can speak up (with new ideas, with feedback)
  • Influencing and persuading people to embrace change

  • Requirements & Credit

    There are no prerequisites for this course. Participants earn 2.8 CEUs and/or 28 CPEs for this course, as well as a certificate of completion. Our classes are available for university credit. Please contact us for more information.
